Resources needed

bulletComputers with internet access
bulletTag board or other similar poster board
bulletStandard craft supplies

Evaluation

Student will be evaluated in two ways: a short quiz and a poster. The quiz will determine if the students learned the key facts about diabetes and what they can do to prevent or control it. The poster will demonstrate the students' understanding of diabetes and what people can do to prevent it. The scoring rubric for the poster can be seen at the student Evaluation Page.

Conclusion

Diabetes is a serious problem among children today, taking on epidemic proportions among Native Americans. This webquest helps students to see how they can help themselves avoid this debilitating disease.
